The Garrett Ace 250 is a great entry level metal detector. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and is relatively affordable at around $212. The digital display makes it easy to better identify targets and notch discrimination allows for removal of unwanted metals. The overall consensus from users is that it is a great starter detector.
Pros:
- Easy to use
- Lightweight
- Long battery life
- Great at finding coins
- Great starter machine
Cons:
- Some users complained of false signals and finding a lot of trash
- Some users complained of trouble pinpointing
Note: Both of the negative issues are likely caused by the inexperience of users.
